Balinese Painting
Balinese Painting is a reflection of the artistic energy that is so inherent everywhere on the island. You can almost say that Bali is an island of artists. Perhaps it is the intrinsic beauty of the island itself that is manifested in the Balinese art.
Balinese paintings can be grouped under different styles. Generally, the Balinese paintings tend to be mersmerizingly detailed. Topics and themes chosen as subject of the paintings range from everyday scenes - like a busy market place, to battle scenes, Balinese performing arts, and scenes derived from Balinese methology. There is also a small number of Balinese artists dabbling in modern art.
