Kuta Beach is a three-kilometer stretch of flat sandy beach in Bali. It is favoured by surfers as the waves there are big and suitable for surfing. All along the beach are places where surfboards can be rented. As there are rip tides, swimmers are advised to stay between the safety flags.

Throughout the day from dawn to dusk, Kuta Beach is a hive of activity. There are people out jogging, basking in the sun, getting a beach massage, even horseback riding.
