Nusa Lembongan is a small island off the southeast coast of Bali. Still very much pristine, it is a destination of snorkelers, divers and sun seekers. Going to Nusa Lembongan, you leave behind all the noise and dust of Kuta. The sea here is a vivid blue, and is as clear as crystal.

There are daily trips by jet catamarans to Nusa Lembongan, leaving from Sanur, Kusamba and Padang Bai. The island is part of a cluster of three island - Nusa Lembongan is the middle sister, with Nusa Penida being the much larger one and Nusa Ceningan being a tiny islet.
There are settlements and fishing villages dotted around Nusa Lembongan. A form of agricultural activity here includes seaweed farming.
The northern part of Nusa Lembongan is covered with mangrove forest. The beaches are on the west and south part of the island. The main beach area is at Jungut Batu. Here, you can find budget accommodation and eateries. It is really geared to the needs of surfers and backpackers with few wants. The hill over Jungut Batu offers some panoramic views that are simply gorgeous.
To the southwest of Jungut Batu is a sheltered bay called Mushroom Bay. It has a stretch of white, sandy beach backed by a few cozy, airy eateries.

Further down south is an outcrop known as Devil's Tear. On both sides of it are Dream Beach and Sunset Beach; these are beaches that over time are getting less so. Still it is worth checking out.
The biggest Hindu temple on Nusa Lembongan is the Pura Luhur Puncak Sari. It is situated on a hill top overlooking the sea.
