Pasar Badung, Denpasar
Pasar Badung is the largest market in Denpasar, Bali. It is housed within a three-storey building by the banks of the Badung River, near Jalan Gajah Mada. It acts as a wholesale market and distribution hub for goods heading to other markets on the island.

As with any major markets in the region, the lower floor is used for selling fresh products such as fish, meat and vegetables. The upper floor is used for dry goods such as clothing and spices.
Pasar Badung is a good place to catch a glimpse of the traditional items used in Bali, such as the parasols, traditional clothing, religious offerings, flowers and things that the locals use and consume. Although Pasar Badung is now housed in a modern building, its history goes back to the time of the Badung Kingdom, over a hundred years ago.
