பாலியில் உள்ள நகரங்களில் 'உபுட்' மிகவும் முக்கியமானது. இந்த 'உபுட்'டில்தான் அனைத்து விதமான கைவேலைப் பொருட்களும் விற்பனை செய்யப்படுகின்றன. இங்கு சென்றால் கைவேலையில் செய்த அனைத்து பொருட்களையும் வாங்க முடியும். அதை சுற்றி உள்ள கிராமங்களில் அந்தப் பொருட்கள் செய்யப்பட்டு வந்தாலும் 'உபுடில்' அவை அனைத்தும் கிடைகின்றன. வருபவர்கள் 'உபுட்டில்' தங்கிக் கொள்ள குறைந்த கட்டணத்தில் வாடகை அறைகள் முதல் மிக உயர்தரமான அறைகளைக் கொண்ட அதிக கட்டண தங்கும் இடங்களும் கிடைகின்றன.

'உபுடுக்குச்' செல்லும் முக்கியமான பாதை 'ஜலன் ரா உபுட்' (Jalan Raya Ubud) அல்லது 'உபுட்' நெடுஞ் சாலை என்பதே. அந்த சாலையில் இருந்துதான் பல கிளை சாலைகள் பிரிந்து செல்கின்றன. அதில் ஒன்றுதான் 'குரங்கு வனச் சாலை' (Monkey Forest Road) என்பது. அந்த சாலையில் தங்கும் இடங்களும், உணவகங்களும், விற்பனை நிலையங்களும் நிறைய உள்ளன. அந்த இடத்தில் தினமும் பழங்காலத்திய நடன நிகழ்ச்சிகள் நடைபெறும். இரவும் 'உபுட்டில்' தங்கினால் அந்த நேரத்தில் நீங்கள் விவசாயிகளின் விற்பனைக் கடைகளைக் பார்க்க முடியும். தினமும் மாலையில் நடக்கும் அந்த நடமாடும் விற்பனை கடைகளில் பல விதமான தின்பண்டங்களும் கைவேலைப் பொருட்களும் கிடைக்கும்.
